Random Demo No.1

31 March 2006 · Last updated: 11 December 2006

I have started on a possible series of demos using randomness to create some of the code. I started using random colours for backgrounds in a recent attempt to redesign this website. I was so pleased with some of the results that I had to extend the code into a proper demo.

PHP is used on the server to generate the background colours. I feel sure it can do a lot more than that. Infact, anything on a page could be generated randomly: the order of the columns, the images, even the content. Of course you don't want to make too many aspects random, or your visitors will get confused. But it is definitely an area I want to look into some more. For now, please enjoy my new demo.
