Opera Diagonal Borders Bug

When an empty ALT attribute is used on an IMG tag, Opera 8.0 uses diagonal borders around the image - it draws a diamond instead of a rectangle. If the ALT code is removed, the borders become square as normal, and the word "Image" appears inside them. Solved in Opera 9.0 Preview 1.

Live example:

Screenshots

Opera 8.0
A diamond appears instead of a rectangle.
Firefox 1.0.3
A rectangle appears as expected.
