Turned the glow of love to the darkest night,
Awoke the devil deep inside,
Leaving me no place to hide.
Her immortal gaze turned my heart to stone,
She was always meant to leave me alone,
But she can keep the diamonds and the lace,
For all the parties and her elegant disgrace,

Like a sailor lost for years,
But with no boat to keep afloat,
I found I'd drowned in my own tears.
