This Wonderful Life

A stunning animation short created entirely on a PC!

17 June 2004 · Last updated: 15 October 2006

Sometimes you come across something so beautiful and inspiring that you have to link to it. This Wonderful Life is a short piece of animation created entirely on a relatively low-spec PC, yet the quality is absolutely stunning. It's also a great emotional story that will have you gripped as to the outcome. But don't take my word for it, view the whole piece as part of an interview with the creator Liam Kemp over at CG Channel. Make sure you don't miss Liam's official This Wonderful Life site either - the fake photo-shoots and still images will leave you in disbelief. How can anyone do such things with a mere home computer? Look at the close-ups - it isn't possible! The skin even has realistic dents and fine hairs! Soon we won't be needing actors anymore.
